To Those Flying In
For wedding weekend transportation, we do not recommend renting a car. All wedding events are within walking distance, and parking costs can add up quickly. San Antonio also offers plenty of affordable ride-share options, making it easy to get around without a vehicle.
The San Antonio International Airport is a 15-minute drive to The Thompson Hotel, where the Reception will be held. The Thompson Hotel is a short 5 to 10-minute walk to Club Giraud, where the Ceremony will be held.
In addition, the Thompson and Club Giraud are both on the San Antonio River Walk. It is a 15 to 20-minute walk along the River to the hustle and bustle of Downtown San Antonio. There, you can find restaurants, bars, museums, and, of course, the Alamo (it is never forgotten).
Transportation to Wedding Events
If you decide to rent a car or if you are driving in from out-of-town, we recommend parking at your hotel and taking an Uber or Lyft to Club Giraud, where the Ceremony will be held.
As a group, we will walk on the River to the Reception at the Thompson.
We will arrange transportation for our guests who are unable to join us on the walk to the Reception.
Parking
Club Giraud (the Welcome Dinner and Ceremony venue) has free parking for all guests. However, guests cannot keep their cars in the Club Giraud parking lot after 5:00 pm on Saturday, once the Ceremony ends.
The Thompson, Landrace (the Reception venue) has $59 valet parking.
The Ceremony venue and the Reception venue are a five-minute walk from each other on the Riverwalk. We suggest that those with cars park at The Thompson (or one of the paid parking lots/garages near the venue) and walk over to the Club Giraud for the Ceremony.
