How it all began

Adam and Avery met in April 2020, when Avery was sent back to Houston from Austin (where she was attending UT) due to the pandemic, and Adam was in his final semester at Rice University.
Their first date was watching the Blue Angels fly over Houston and sharing Avery’s Easter candy (dark chocolate Justin’s peanut butter cups, to be exact). Shortly after, Avery returned to Austin for work.
Adam and Avery then began a long-distance relationship, traveling back and forth between Houston and Austin, and later between Houston and Durham, North Carolina, when Avery moved there to attend Duke Law School.
Adam proposed to Avery on their favorite running trail, the Rice running loop, less than a mile from where they first met. After nearly six years together, they now live in Houston together.
They are beyond excited to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them.
